These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from Case Your Space. Case Your Space is a trading name of CJ – HANLEY TRADING LIMITED (company number 11309345), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: JDM Plates, Charles Street, Great Yarmouth, England, NR30 3LA. Our trading and returns address is Case Your Space, Charles Street, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3LA, United Kingdom. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CJ – HANLEY TRADING LIMITED trading as Case Your Space.
1. About these terms
These terms explain the basis on which we sell display cases, stands, wall mounted displays, personalised products and related goods through caseyourspace.com. Please read them before placing an order. Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
2. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products shown in your basket on these terms. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order; it does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we accept the order and begin processing it, or when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted.
We may decline or cancel an order before manufacture or dispatch if, for example, a product is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or description error, payment cannot be authorised, we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or we cannot complete a personalised specification safely or accurately. If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item.
3. Product information and compatibility
We take reasonable care to describe and photograph products accurately. Colours, finishes and transparency can appear differently on different screens, and minor manufacturing tolerances may occur. Where a product is designed around a particular model, scale, brick-built set or collectible, you are responsible for checking the stated compatibility and dimensions before ordering.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, models, vehicles, brick-built sets, figures and memorabilia shown in product photography are for illustration only and are not included.
4. Made-to-order and personalised products
Many Case Your Space products are manufactured to order. Some can also be made to your specifications or personalised with names, text, artwork, printed backdrops, dimensions or other customer-selected details.
Please check all personalisation, spelling, measurements and uploaded artwork carefully before submitting an order. Where we provide a proof or specification for approval, manufacture may not begin until that approval is received. Once manufacture of a product made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you has started, changes may not be possible.
Being made to order does not by itself remove your statutory cancellation rights. However, the normal change-of-mind cancellation right does not generally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Your statutory rights remain unaffected where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
5. Prices and payment
Prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Any delivery charge will be shown before you complete checkout. For international orders, local import taxes, customs charges or handling fees may be payable by the recipient unless we expressly state that they are included.
Depending on availability and eligibility at checkout, payment options may include major debit and credit cards through Stripe or another card processor, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Clearpay. Buy-now-pay-later or finance-style services are provided by the relevant third party and are subject to that provider’s own eligibility checks and terms.
You must use a payment method you are authorised to use. We do not normally receive or store your complete card number; payment information is handled by the relevant payment provider.
6. Delivery
Our normal target is to manufacture and dispatch orders so that delivery is completed within approximately 2 weeks, unless a different lead time is shown on the product page or communicated to you. This is a target rather than a guaranteed delivery date, particularly for bespoke work, unusually large orders, peak periods or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
UK mainland delivery is our principal service area. We may also ship to other UK locations and internationally where suitable shipping is available. International delivery times vary by destination and customs procedures.
You are responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address. If a parcel is returned because an address was incomplete or incorrect, or delivery was repeatedly refused or missed, we may charge reasonable redelivery costs.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person you have identified to receive them, subject to applicable consumer law.
7. Inspecting your order and transit damage
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Acrylic and display products can be damaged in transit even when packaging appears intact. If you notice damage, missing components or an apparent manufacturing problem, please contact us promptly at [email protected] with your order number and clear photographs of the product and packaging. Keeping the packaging until the issue is resolved may assist us with a courier claim.
Reporting a problem promptly helps us investigate it, but this does not reduce any statutory rights you may have.
8. Change-of-mind cancellations and returns
For eligible standard, non-personalised goods bought online, consumers normally have 14 days from the day after delivery to tell us that they wish to cancel. After notifying us, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
To request a return, contact [email protected] before sending anything back. Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning them. You should take reasonable care of returned goods and package them appropriately for transport.
We may make a lawful deduction from a refund if goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning and their value has been reduced.
The statutory change-of-mind right does not generally apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you. This includes, for example, a display made to customer-supplied dimensions or a product carrying customer-selected personalised printing where it cannot reasonably be resold as a standard product.
Please see our Returns Policy for the practical returns process.
9. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their normal purpose and as described. If a product arrives faulty, is damaged, is not what you ordered or develops a fault, contact us and we will assess the issue in accordance with your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may be repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, incorrect assembly, unsuitable fixings, impact, unauthorised modification, failure to follow instructions, or ordinary wear and tear. This does not allow us to exclude liability for a fault that was present when the product was supplied.
10. Wall-mounted products and installation
Wall types, substrates and loads vary. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is your responsibility to ensure that the fixing method and location are suitable for the product and the items being displayed. If you are unsure, use a competent installer. Do not exceed any stated capacity or use a display for a purpose for which it was not designed.
11. Customer artwork and intellectual property
If you upload text, logos, photographs, artwork or other material for personalisation, you confirm that you have the right to use it and to ask us to reproduce it for your order. You must not submit material that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate. We may refuse content we reasonably believe creates legal or safety concerns.
All Case Your Space branding, original product photography, website copy, graphics and original design material remain owned by us or our licensors unless stated otherwise. Compatibility references to third-party brands identify the type of collectible a display is intended for and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.
12. Website availability and errors
We may update products, prices, descriptions and website content from time to time. We cannot guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we are not obliged to supply a product at an obviously incorrect price where the error should reasonably have been apparent.
13. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
Where you buy as a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed. Products sold through our consumer website are intended primarily for private use; we are not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
14. Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, courier disruption, industrial action, network failures, shortages or customs delays. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the disruption and keep affected customers informed where appropriate.
15. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you also retain any mandatory rights available to you under the law applicable where you live. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in a court that consumer law permits you to use.
